We Filipinos are fond of eating. Food is part of our culture. We have different and unique dishes in every part of the country. We have the famous Bangus Dagupan, empananda and longganisa of Vigan, Bicol Express and so many more. We actually eat 5 times a day! Could you imagine that?

I also love to eat and my most favorite part is the “snack time”. And you what is my favorite snack? None other than the crispy chicharon bulaklak! Yes indeed, the very mouthwatering chicharon. I love it with spicy vinegar. If I am not mistaken, we have different kinds of chicharon nowadays. Unlike before, we only have pork chicharon. But now, we also have vegetable chicharon for health conscious people because pork chicharon is very high in cholesterol. That is why I always make sure to exercise regularly to maintain a healthy body and to flush away those bad cholesterol brought by that yummy chicharon.
