Felt condition from an ingrown toenail lately?
Having this kind of condition might be quite common but it cause an intense pain, swelling and inflammation, it may even get infected, in which case, you should immediately consult a doctor.

How to avoid having one, or treating it if you already have it?
The first line of defense is to avoid the cause of ingrown toenail, namely ill-fitting shoes, incorrect nail clipping, dirt or build-up in the nail corner. Any or a combination of these, result to the edge of your nails poking the tissue of your toe corner (that’s where the pain comes from!)
It is very important, then to clip nails properly, that is, straight across using a specially designed nail clipper, not scissors. Wear perfectly fitting shoes and socks.

To relieve you of the pain and pressure once you already have it, use a specifically formulated toenail softening treatment. Make sure you’re using a solution that contains sodium sulfide, such as toenail softening solution, to effectively soften the toenail and the calloused tissue.
